2 Mar 2010I stopped by Hallmark today and saw this. It’s adorable! “We got the Tweet.. we got the tweet… we got the tweet!” It made me smile today, hope it does the same to you!

6 Feb 2010A few days ago, I heard Ryan Seacrest mention that Orianthi will be playing at my local Best Buy this weekend. I’m so happy I caught that announcement!
So my friends and I met up today at Best Buy and watched her perform a few songs from her album. She performed “Drive Away,” “Bad News,” and my favorite “According to You.” For those of us who came earlier, we got a pre-show when she was doing her sound check. :)
If you haven’t heard her music yet, you’ll soon find out that she’s an amazing guitarist. She’s worked with incredible musicians like Carrie Underwood, Steve Vai, Carlos Santana, and Michael Jackson. Here’s a full interview with her from iProng Magazine.
You can purchase Orianthi’s Believe cd or take a listen to the album below:

I attended the Software Development for iPhone and iPod Touch Seminar today, presented by Steve Hayman.
He briefly talked about development for the iPad (which is very similar to iPhone / iPod Touch development), as well as how to create web apps and native apps during the presentation. Above is a UCR native iPhone app that he created with us in under 15 minutes. Wow.
Here are my notes from the seminar.

24 Jan 2010What a dramatic night sunset! Today’s weather was just lovely. I was especially happy to see the sun after all the storms and flooding we had in the last week.

It’s Friday and the last day of the week-long storms that keep passing through California. It stopped raining for the most part, so I went out for dinner tonight at Panera Bread, and stopped by Target to get a few things. I can’t tell you how happy I was when I walked down the candy section. Everything there was PINK and RED! And if you’re a Hello Kitty fan, there’s a ton of stuff for you to check out!

10 Jan 2010I spent a few days at the Consumer Electronics Show 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada and had a geeky fabulous time. The conference was huge, and there was just so much to see! And three days was not enough time to see everything.
Most of my time was spent in the 3 major halls, hoping to cover all the latest in technology for you! Here’s an overview of products that I really enjoyed at the show.

We left San Francisco early in the morning and arrived in South Lake Tahoe around 2pm.. just in time for our first snowmobile ride! We got to ride around snowy mountains for 2 hours and it was so much fun and adventurous!
New Year’s Eve was fabulous! We headed into San Francisco at 11pm to see the fireworks on the waterfront. I guess we should have expected there to be a lot of traffic. My friends and I got out of the cars to get a closer look of the bridge and fireworks. It was an amazing show! Happy New Year everyone!
After the crowds left, my friends took us to Treasure for the great view of the Bay bridge. We got some incredible shots in the super cold weather! It was such a great night and a wonderful way to kick off the new year!
Next stop.. Tahoe for snow!
Happy New Year’s Eve everyone! What are you doing the last night of 2010?
I’m on a little roadtrip with my college friends! We’re all heading up to Northern Cali to spend the holidays together. We’ll be at the big countdown event at the SF Waterfront. Anyone wanna join us? :) See you in 2010! Happy New Year!

Every year my college friends and I get together to celebrate the holidays and just reconnect again. This year was extra awesome because we did a White Elephant gift exchange. If you never played it before, it’s quite simple. Just bring a wrapped gift and each person takes turn opening one. The person that goes after has the option of stealing an opened gift or opening a new one, and so on. It’s quite fun. ;) The kids all got the gifts they wanted, and everyone had a blast. I had a fabulously memorable night! Thanks for planning Viv & Ann! :)
