For breakfast, @dragonal and I went to the Grand Central Station to pick up something quick to eat. Loved the pastries at Zaro’s in the food court area. The coffee — not so much. I had this French Toast bagel that was unbelievably good! Totally recommend it. :)
We headed toward Rockerfeller Center to meet up with @fadingflowers. She brought her daughter with her — the cutest little thing — and we went to explore the NBC Experience Store, Nintendo World, Toys R us, and Sanrio Luxe. For lunch, we had Japanese food on 34th street. Yum.
By 6pm we started to head to Southstreet Seaport for the #NYCTweetup! We were running a bit late and it started pouring rain already. Doh. @bryanbrinkman was already there and we waited for a few more minutes. Every few minutes, someone joined the tweetup, so there was a rainbow of umbrellas huddling together. :)
We moved the tweetup indoors and chatted for hours. We didn’t realize how late it was getting and they already started to close the mall. So we moved the Tweetup again. We all huddled in the rain together and then into the subway, looking back to make sure we all stuck together. Yes, us tweeps take care of each other. :) We got to the Soho area and decided to have dinner at Je’Bonusa. More great conversations took place about geek, twitter, and life. :) I had a great time, and I hope everyone else did too!
Thanks for coming to the tweetup! @bryanbrinkman @pop17 @beansbaxter @womansworth @jafarside @dragonal @fadingflowers @boheme06 @claycarnill @meganmayes @kirkdesoto — you guys are great. Hope this is just the first of many NY tweetups for you!
