Day 5.. We woke up early and headed to the North Shore side of Oahu. I heard the beaches on this side are amazing. On our way to the beaches, we saw a sign that said “Historical Town of Haleiwa.” So of course we stopped by! Lucky we did, because Matsumoto’s Shave Ice was on this street! It’s the famous dessert place showed on Rachel Ray’s $40 a Day and Unwrapped! We got the Large Matsumoto (rainbow and all flavors!) with ice Cream. Yummy! I suggest getting the one with the beans and ice cream. Heard that was really good also!
Day 3.. we got up extra early today and left before the hotel even served breakfast. We wanted to get to Hanauma Bay Beach as quickly as possible since parking is limited, and the beach gets crowded quickly.

The view from the top of Hanauma Bay Beach was quite amazing! And the view in the ocean was even more magnificent. We went snorkeling for a good two hours or so, and so all sorts of fishes. The highlight of course was the sea turtle that my friends and I managed to follow around.
Day 2, We had a quick breakfast at the hotel and walked across the street to check out the beach at the Hilton. It was really lovely! There were shops everywhere, ponds will with fishes with birds lurking around, and soaking my feet in the sand felt really nice!
Then we went driving around the island and ended up at the Mall at Pearl Harbor to grab a quick bite to eat. We dropped by the airport around 4pm to pick up our friends, Nhut and Steve.
After checking-in, we drove out to Waikiki Beach (which seems to be a very happening place at night!) and watched the sunset. There was also a show in the park, under the huge banyan tree. Hungry, we went searching for Sansei to have dinner.

DragonAl and I, walking on Waikiki Beach.
Sansei was such a nice choice. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the food and service was quite exquisite. I always recommend getting the butterfish. That dish just melts in your mouth!
