Woah, a Super-Sized Droid

I spent a few days at the Consumer Electronics Show 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada and had a geeky fabulous time. The conference was huge, and there was just so much to see! And three days was not enough time to see everything.

Most of my time was spent in the 3 major halls, hoping to cover all the latest in technology for you! Here’s an overview of products that I really enjoyed at the show.

Another Blog World Expo has come and gone. This is actually my first Blog World Expo event, and I greatly enjoyed it. There were just so many amazing sessions taking place that it was very hard to choose which to go to. In addition to the panels, I met a lot of amazing people who are changing our world through social media and online tools.

I took a lot of notes that I need to review before writing a full article, so come back later for that! Here is a list of the panels and events that I attended:

Going to Comic-Con 2009!

logo

daynah-pikachuI’m heading out to San Diego tonight for Comic-Con! I’m so excited and I can’t wait! The 3 panels I plan not to miss are The Guild, The Big Bang Theory, and Totally Rad Show! And of course, scoping out the exhibit floor is a ton of fun.

Are you going to Comic-Con? What are you excited to see? Let me know what I should not miss! If you have an iPhone, be sure to download the Official Comic-Con App and Syfy Comic-Con 2009. They’re both free, and you can use the floor map and session info. Hope to run into you there!

And if you can’t make it this year, feel free to follow my tweets for pictures and live video from the conference!

Note: Pictured above is what I was doing last year at Comic-Con. It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it. Pika.. pika, chu!

Anime Expo 2009

Nice Pokemon..

I had such a great time at the Anime Expo with my siblings and my friend Steve. We went to the Morning Musume (a Jpop music group) live concert. This was their first concert in the United States.. and I got the chance to see/hear it. They’re very upbeat and happy! I loved it. My favorite songs so far are Aruiteru and Love Machine.

After the concert, I wandered into the exhibit hall and I was determined to bring back some manga home. I ended up getting Kana de Manga and The Manga Cookbook which are very adorable. I also got the Morning Musume cd. :)

We left the expo at 5:30pm and had dinner in Little Tokyo. It’s now a tradition to have dinner at Teishokuya of Tokyo after the Anime Expo every year. :)

I’m thinking about heading back tomorrow just to take photos of all the great costumes. But that’ll depend on my family engagements.

WordCamp SF 2009

WordCamp SF was the first WordCamp event that I attended physically. I attended PodCamp+WordCamp Hawaii virtually last year. I have to say that I had the best time ever. I knew I would the moment I found out the date and registered. There were more than 700+ attendees… doubling the size from last year! There were so many great people attending too. I didn’t get the chance to meet and talk to everyone that I wanted to, but there’s always next year, and WordCamp LA is coming up as well!

WordPress means A LOT to me since I was using it from the very beginning. It’s the essence of my internet existence. When @photomatt gave the State of the Word, it brought back so many nostalgic memories. I remember helping Michel V (the original coder of b2) beta test his software about 9 years ago. I use to constantly hack b2 every way I could. And I also remember when WordPress was born, as well as all the other blog software there were competing with WP at the time. It was a nice walk down my internet memory lane, and I shall not forget it.
