New Year’s Night!

logo

Friends in Treasure Island, SF

New Year’s Eve was fabulous! We headed into San Francisco at 11pm to see the fireworks on the waterfront. I guess we should have expected there to be a lot of traffic. My friends and I got out of the cars to get a closer look of the bridge and fireworks. It was an amazing show! Happy New Year everyone!

After the crowds left, my friends took us to Treasure for the great view of the Bay bridge. We got some incredible shots in the super cold weather! It was such a great night and a wonderful way to kick off the new year!

Next stop.. Tahoe for snow!

Christmas Party 2009

Every year my college friends and I get together to celebrate the holidays and just reconnect again. This year was extra awesome because we did a White Elephant gift exchange. If you never played it before, it’s quite simple. Just bring a wrapped gift and each person takes turn opening one. The person that goes after has the option of stealing an opened gift or opening a new one, and so on. It’s quite fun. ;) The kids all got the gifts they wanted, and everyone had a blast. I had a fabulously memorable night! Thanks for planning Viv & Ann! :)

Oahu 2009: Day 2 – Hulaween Tweetup

#Hulaween Tweetup at Nico's 10/31/2009

One thing I love to do when traveling is organize Tweetups so I can meet my twitter friends! And going to Hawaii is no different. We had a “Hulaween” Lunch Tweetup on Saturday, Oct. 31st. It’s a good thing that it was on a Saturday because all the kids were able to attend.

Nico's At Pier 38We had lunch at Nico’s at Pier 38, which is a favorite place of ours ever since @hawaii introduced it to us last year! Anything with the seared ahi is good!

It was such a nice and friendly tweetup group. 19 people attended (more came after this photo was taken). More photos to come (after I’m back from my vacation).

p.s. This photo should be on Hawaii IRL! :)

Reunion Dinner

Labor Day weekend was the perfect time to have a college reunion. My friends were in town and we all met up for dinner. It felt like old times.. except with the addition of little ones. :)

Coldstone or Cold Sore?

logo

I had such a great time tonight with my college friends. Everyone is doing well. My friend’s daughter is growing up so fast!

My college friends from SF were in town for the weekend, so we all met up for dinner. It was nice to be reunited after so many months!

We cooked, chatted, and watched the Lakers game. Fun times. We didn’t leave until the restaurant started turning off some of the lights. Yes, we finally got the hint!

So we headed over to Tea Station to hangout until midnight. I had a such a great time. It brings back so many memories of the late night food runs during college. I really miss those college days but at least we don’t have anymore homework. ;)

Anyhow, we ended up talking about Oprah Winfrey’s KFC coupon. Then my friend Toan mentioned something about Coldstone coupons. Well, I didn’t hear him quite right. The conversation went something like this..

Toan: “I printed some birthday coupons from Coldstone.”

Daynah: *confused* “What? Cold sore?”

Toan: “No! Coldstone, the ice cream place!”

Everyone laughed because they heard the same thing I did!

Daynah: “Oops, I heard cold sore! I thought it was a BITE one, get one free special!”

That was funny. Good times. :)
