Day 2, We had a quick breakfast at the hotel and walked across the street to check out the beach at the Hilton. It was really lovely! There were shops everywhere, ponds will with fishes with birds lurking around, and soaking my feet in the sand felt really nice!
Then we went driving around the island and ended up at the Mall at Pearl Harbor to grab a quick bite to eat. We dropped by the airport around 4pm to pick up our friends, Nhut and Steve.
After checking-in, we drove out to Waikiki Beach (which seems to be a very happening place at night!) and watched the sunset. There was also a show in the park, under the huge banyan tree. Hungry, we went searching for Sansei to have dinner.

Sansei was such a nice choice. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the food and service was quite exquisite. I always recommend getting the butterfish. That dish just melts in your mouth!
I’m off for one week on the island of Oahu! I’ve been to Maui and the Big Island before, but not to the Hawaii state capitol yet. Very excited, I can’t wait!
We arrived around 7pm Hawaiian time. For the first night, we did the usual — picked up the rental car, check-in to the hotel, and had a very late dinner!
Had dinner at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse tonight. It was yummmmmy! Steak was so tender that it was like eating sushi. :)
We took a ferry that went around Liberty Island.. and saw the lady herself!
And here’s me, not wanting to leave the ferry. haha
Today was just the PERFECT day to walk in the park! It’s been so cold and drizzly the past few days…. that this was just a blessing. It was nice, sunny, and warm… We arrived at the park around the afternoon, and had a wonderful day… taking photos and just enjoying the nature around us.
